ファッションで仕事をしていると、“あ、そうだ。これが僕の仕事のジャンルなんだ”って改めて気づかされる事がある。昨晩虎ノ門ヒルズで行われたショーを見たとき、ファッションの仕事をしていて本当に良かったって思った。それはそれはグラマラスでゴージャス、とっても楽しい一晩を過ごしたんだ。
There have been certain moments in my fashion life when I have just melted and gone “ahhhh…this is why I do what I do.” Last night’s Chanel extravaganza at Toranemon Hills was just one of those moments when fashion, glamour and fun all merged into one bit Tex-Mex surprise.
タクシーを降りた瞬間から楽しい時間は始まっていた。シャネルを身にまとった美しい女性たちで溢れかえっていたよ。
Even getting out of the car was fun, with Chanel ushers lining the streets and gorgeous ladies in Chanel everywhere.
ホールはバーの様になっていたからもちろん駆けつけ一杯。さすがはシャネル。コースターまでしっかりデザインされてるんだ!!
Inside, the hall had been converted into a Texan bar, so I was quick to take a drink. And as it’s Chanel, it’s all in the details. Look at the coasters!

招待されていたゲストももちろんとっても豪華。Jerry HallにK-popスターのG-Dragonまで!! ドリンクを片手に、ショーが始まるの今か今かと皆待っている。
Guests – which included the fabulous Texan Jerry Hall and Korean heart-throb G-Dragon – sat on lounges, bar stools or artfully mis-matched seats and prepared for the collection.
シャネルは僕にとってはまさに“完璧”なブランド。どんなコレクションも息を飲むほど美しくて、どんなときも常にトップに君臨するブランド。今回のコレクションはまさにそんなシャネルの素晴らしさを再確認。ナバホポンチョにカウボーイブーツ。デニムにTexanグラマーの要素が加わり、とっても楽しくとってもアートなショーに仕上がっていた。
In my eyes, Chanel can never do any wrong, but this collection got everything SO RIGHT. From the Navajo ponchos, cowboy boots and denims to the Texan glamour and sparkle, it was playful, artful and immaculate.

今回まず目に付いたのは、さっきも伝えたナバホポンチョにニット。デニムにもちろんスパークルな要素が盛りだくさん!! それはまさにパリジャンがアメリカのカウボーイに美しくドレスアップ、そんなショーだった。Caroline de Maigretが身につけてたホワイトフェザーヘッドドレスはまさにハイライトだったね。
In my eyes Chanel can never do anything wrong, but this time they managed to do everything SO RIGHT! I went crazy over the Navajo ponchos and knits, the denim touches, and of course the sparkle. It was Americana seen through the eye of a chic Parisienne. Caroline de Maigret walking down the runway wearing a white feather head dress with her poised sense of cool was a total highlight.
