東京に新しくできたホテル、Andaz Hotelを知ってるかな？東京でも一番大きくて、とってもグラマラスなホテル。前回来た時は、幸運にもChanelのDallasファッションショーに招待された時だ。(未だにJerry HallとYeah Yeah Yeahsの曲で一緒に踊った興奮が冷め止まないんだ!!)
So there seems to be a little pattern forming in my relationship with the Andaz Hotel – arguably the biggest and most glamorous of Tokyo’s new hotels. The last time I was here I was a fortunate guest of Chanel for their incredible Dallas fashion show (I’m still buzzing about having shimmied with Jerry Hall to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs).

And last week I found myself visiting the hotel once again – this time in a rather deluxe suite no less – to celebrate another very Parisian treat: the collaboration between Ines de la Fressange and My Little Box.

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to shimmy with Ines (coincidentally an ex-Chanel model) at the event, however I was able to become better acquainted with this rather curious little box. まっさらなレザーの椅子に座ってシャンパンを飲みながら、外の最高の景色を眺めながら、この部屋と景色が僕の部屋だったらなんて考えてみたりして。ロブスターソースがかかったバケットのケータリングや、あちらこちらで写真の撮影会、ベッドルームにはランジェリーのディスプレイがとってもラブリーに演出されていたよ。このバニーの下着、とっても可愛いと思わない?!
I sat in the untanned leather chair in the suite’s library by the large floor to ceiling windows imagining for a moment that this view was, indeed, mine. Champagne was drunk, photos were taken and lobster was nibbled. There was even a bespoke lingerie display set up in the bedroom which was actually pretty fabulous that I kept checking out – I loved the bunny bra and panties!
幸運なことにスパマネージャーRachaelに招待され、Andaz AOスパを拝見!! とってもモダンで、ラグジュアリーなアプローチは日本人も大好きなはず。とっても大きいスチールのパネルに囲まれた部屋や待合室はシックなシャンデリア。外のプールの水面にうつるきらめきがスパのロビーをより一層輝かせていたよ。まるでマジカルな世界に飛び込んだような空間。こんなスパはきっと東京じゃ見れないんじゃないだろうか??!
I was also lucky to be invited by Rachael the spa manager to come and see the Andaz AO Spa, and was surprised by its modern, luxurious approach. Large steel panelled room dividers and industrial chic chandeliers housed waiting rooms, treatment stations and apothecary counters. Natural beige stone gave the area a sense of light, and the reflection from the pool glistened into the spa lobby. It all had a sense of magic and oozed cool.
The spa giftshop had lots of fabulous sparkly products!
カウンターが開くと広がるシーズナルなスクラブの香り。これはあなたの肌にあったスクラブを作ってくれるみたいなんだ。なかでも驚いたのはシュガーで出来たチョコレートのスクラブ。果たしてどんな効果があるんだろうか??! そんな新鮮なトリートメントも提供するこのスパは是非オススメ!!
At one if the counters I opened jars and smelt some of their seasonal scrubs that can be tailor made for you with their jiyujizai custom blend package. I fell in love with the thought of a chocolate scrub, made gritty with large chunks of sugar. I wonder if it soaks in?!?! I’ve never heard of these kinds of treatments before, and it was a real surprise.
My Little Boxを知ってるそこの君、ちょっとしたサプライズやガーリーなものが大好きな君にはとくにオススメしたいこのホテルとスパ、何かの機会に是非足を運んで欲しいな!!
So I guess like the girls who receive My Little Box every month I too am a closet Francophile with a leaning towards chocolate and some kind of Chanel fetish. Whatever you call it, I want to head back to that spa and try it for myself, chocolate and all.
