毎シーズン気になるコレクションを発表するデザイナーはたくさんいる。彼らがアーティストとコラボーレトするときなんかは、まさにファッションのネクストレベルといっても過言ではない。Riccardo Tisciは僕にとってそんな期待を裏切らないデザイナーの一人。東京にあるGivenchyのショールームでAW13のコレクションを見たときは本当にエキサイトしたよ。一点一点をしっかり見る事が出来たんだ。なかでもとっても可愛かったこのバンビのスェットシャツ!!!
There are certain designers that you just have to watch and accept that what you are seeing is the future. When they collaborate with artists, it really takes things onto another level. Riccardo Tisci is one of these designers. So it was a real treat to get an inside look at the latest AW13 Givenchy collection in the Tokyo showroom recently and to fall in love with the collection up close…particularly with that now-famous Bambi sweatshirt!

ここ数年、彼のデザインではウィメンズよりメンズのコレクションが僕のお気に入りだったんだけど、今期彼はウィメンズでとってもクールで、今までとは少し違った新しいコレクションを発表。まるで近い未来トレンドになるであろうコレクションを見ているようだったよ。
Personally, over the last few seasons I have thought that the men’s collections have far outweighed the women’s collections in terms of innovation. However this season, Tisci produced a collection that is so new, so damn cool, that it’s worth dissecting to find the trends of the future.
花柄に刺繍、遊び心が効いたバンビ。どこかモダンなジプシースタイルを彷彿とさせる。いつもの様なストリートスタイルに少しグランジのエッセンスが加わり、ペイズリーには少しフェミニンさが。ジャケットのウエストにはベルトなどのちょっとしたデザインも。
There’s the mix of florals, embroidery and a mash-ed up Bambi; where art, manga and a little bit of tradition collide. There’s religion and a sense of the modern gypsy. And there’s always the Street, but this season Street looks more like grunge, with paisleys and a relaxed femininity, with jackets tied around the waists like belts.

これがそのファッションショーのビデオだよ。パフォーマンスをしているのはこれもまたまた僕の大好きなアーティストAntony and the JohnsonsのAntony Hegarty。彼のパフォーマンスがショーをよりマジカルに、ロマンティックに仕上げてくれているね。
