I just finished a yoga class at the Yoga Barn near Ubud Center, leaving this oasis to be again immersed in the traffic of the town, but this time I am on my way to Alila Ubud. As I approach a mere half hour's drive north of Ubud, I can’t help but notice a transformative shift in the environment. The rice paddies stretch wider, the jungle appears denser, and there's a distinct change in scenery that's at once quaint and breathtaking. Far fewer cars dot the paths here and the air carries an undeniable purity. The bustling excitement of Ubud starts to fade, replaced by the blissful calm of the approaching paradise, my destination.
