ロビーに入ると、エレベーターの明るいネオングローと目を引く階段がスペシャルな雰囲気を醸しだしています。ショッピングや銀座の散策の合間に、コーヒーや紅茶を楽しみながらリラックスするのに最適です（ニッチな紅茶がたくさんあります）

Walk in, and the mood in the lobby is set with a bright neon glow by the elevators and a standout staircase that catches your eye. It’s perfect for a quick break from shopping or just walking around Ginza. Have a coffee or tea (they have so many niche teas!), relax by the couch, and then get back to shopping!

次に2階のPunch Roomに行ってみましょう。ロンドンにいた頃以来のパンチを久々に楽しみましたが、昔のロンドンのパンチバーの体験を見事に再現し、さらにシックに仕上げています。 これは友達との金曜の夜や楽しいデートにぴったりです！

Next, let’s go to the second floor, where the Punch Room is. I hadn’t had Punch since my years in London, and trust me, they beautifully replicated the experience of the good old Punch bars in London and made it even more chic. This is great for a Friday night with friends or a fun date!

本当の魅力はホテルのモダンブラッスリー、Sophie at EDITION でのダイニング体験。リラックスしつつも洗練された雰囲気の中で、ヨーロッパと日本の料理の伝統を融合させた料理を楽しめます。特に気に入ったのはキヌアとアボカドのサラダです。シンプルなサラダを想像しないでください！美しく花で飾られたプレゼンテーションと、バターのように滑らかなアボカドが絶品でした。そしてもちろん、パスタも試さなければ（イタリア人として、どこでもパスタを試したいです）。これもまた驚きの美味しさで、もっと欲しいくらいです！

The real gem here is the dining experience at Sophie at EDITION the hotel’s modern brasserie. It’s relaxed yet refined, serving dishes that blend the best of European and Japanese culinary traditions. My favorite is the quinoa and avocado salad. Don’t imagine a boring salad—it was beautifully presented with flowers, and the high-quality avocado was so buttery. And of course, I had to try the pasta (as an Italian, I feel I have to try pasta everywhere). This was a tasty surprise; I wanted more!

さて、お部屋に戻りましょう。スイートに滞在し、銀座の夜景を一望しました。たくさんのネオンライトがありましたが、まるで騒がしい街から離れたリラックスした泡の中にいるような感じでした。スイートルームはシンプルでミニマリストなデザインで、快適さを重視しています。心地よいテキスタイルとお気に入りのル ラボのアメニティ（エディションホテル限定の香り）が、滞在をさらに特別なものにしてくれます。

Now let’s talk about the room. Staying in the suite, we had a view of Ginza from above. Despite the many neon lights, it felt like we were in a relaxing bubble, away from the bustling part of town. The suites are thoughtfully designed, with a clean, minimalist look that’s all about comfort. Cozy textiles and top-notch amenities, like my favorite Le Labo (yes, they have EDITION Hotels’ limited edition fragrance), make these spaces more than just a place to crash—they’re your own personal retreat after a day or night out in Ginza.

近所の活気あるシーンを探索するために来た場合でも、ルーフトップバー “The Roof” でナチュラルワインを楽しむために来た場合でも、東京エディション銀座は滞在のすべての部分を特別でありながらシンプルにしてくれます。 クールで楽しく、まさに必要な場所のように感じます

East Bali’s Best Kept Secret：A Review of the Alila Manggis

After more than a month in Ubud, surrounded by rice paddies and mountains, I moved to east Bali, next to the beach, I suddenly realized I was in an island ! As soon as I stepped foot into Alila Manggis, a wave of tranquility washed over me. The noise of the outside world seemed to fade away, replaced by the calming presence of lush gardens adorned with fragrant Frangipani trees and a classic non-infinity pool reflecting the turquoise sky. The architecture, blending modern design with traditional Balinese aesthetics, further enhanced the serene atmosphere. It was evident that time moved differently here, allowing me to fully absorb the enchanting beauty of this hidden oasis.

ああ、それをほとんど忘れていました！シュノーケリングは必ず試すべきアクティビティです。リゾートは美しいサンゴ礁が広がるブルーラグーンに近い場所に位置しています。バリの透明で温かい水は、さまざまな海洋生物で溢れており、シュノーケリング愛好家にとって楽園となっています。漁船に乗ってブルーラグーンに連れて行かれ、シュノーケリングを忘れられない体験にする素晴らしい2人のガイドがいます。彼らはアリラマンギスをとても恋しく思い、愛しています。そこは、ヤシの木に囲まれ、穏やかな海に囲まれており、社会から遠く離れた気分になり、怠惰になり、ホテルから一歩も出なくてもいいのです（笑）

Oh and I almost forgot! Snorkeling is a must-try activity. The resort is located near a beautiful coral reef in a Blue Lagoon. The clear, warm waters of Bali are teeming with a variety of marine life, making it a paradise for snorkeling enthusiasts. You will be taken to the Blue Lagoon in an original fisherman boat and two great guides that will make snorkeling a unforgettable experience. I miss and loved Alila Manggis so much, perhaps because it reminded me of my Fiji vacation, where you are just surrounded by palm trees and a calm ocean, feeling so far away from society, and it’s fine to be lazy and to never leave the hotel (ahah)

ウブド中心部近くのヨガバーンでヨガクラスを終え、このオアシスを後にして再び町の喧騒に身を置くことになりましたが、今回はアリラウブドへ向かいます。ウブドから北へわずか30分ほどの道を進むにつれすぐに景色の変化を感じます。田んぼは広がり、ジャングルはより密集し、一風変わった息をのむような風景の変化があります。ここでは車が格段に少なく、空気は明確な純粋さを保っています。ウブドの賑やかさが薄れ、進む先の楽園の至福の静けさが代わりに広がっていきます。

I just finished a yoga class at the Yoga Barn near Ubud Center, leaving this oasis to be again immersed in the traffic of the town, but this time I am on my way to Alila Ubud. As I approach a mere half hour’s drive north of Ubud, I can’t help but notice a transformative shift in the environment. The rice paddies stretch wider, the jungle appears denser, and there’s a distinct change in scenery that’s at once quaint and breathtaking. Far fewer cars dot the paths here and the air carries an undeniable purity. The bustling excitement of Ubud starts to fade, replaced by the blissful calm of the approaching paradise, my destination.
